Hospital Work:

As part of my commitment to comprehensive patient care I am able to admit stable patients who have private insurance and need an inpatient stay at Armidale Private Hospital. These admissions can be arranged by myself after seeing you in my consulting rooms or can be organised by the Emergency Department staff at Armidale Regional Referral Hospital if you are suitable (you can request this)

Possible Reasons for Admission:

  • Cellulitis requiring IV antibiotics (no sepsis)

  • Uncomplicated UTI / pyelonephritis (stable, no obstruction)

  • Community-acquired pneumonia (mild–moderate)

  • Gastroenteritis with dehydration needing IV fluids

  • Acute kidney injury (pre-renal, mild–moderate)

  • Iron deficiency anaemia for transfusion or IV iron

  • Type 2 diabetes stabilisation (e.g. BGL optimisation, insulin initiation)

  • Mild heart failure exacerbation (IV diuresis, stable)

  • COPD exacerbation

  • Hypertension requiring inpatient titration

  • Medication rationalisation / polypharmacy review

  • Palliative Care
